March Winds

March Winds
-Nancy the Tea-
Is there anything better than the first day of March that brings sunshine and warmth enough to sit out on the patio wearing sleeveless shirts, bare legs and flip flops?
That's how we, daughter, daughter-in-law and I, spent Monday afternoon of this week. We cleaned off the patio table, lifted the umbrella and prepared to absorb all the vitamin D we could attract. We found the chair cushions that had been in storage all winter and prepared to play a few games of MahJongg.
If you know this back-yard trio, you would have predicted the daughter-in-law would walk away with the heftiest coin purse. She's a smart player, and lucky, too.
It was only when the sun began to settle in the west that a hearty breeze began to blow that we gave a thought to trudging into the house and preparing supper. The butterfly flag was flapping and the Westminster chimes began singing by the time we packed up our game and headed for the kitchen.
No matter what the problems of the world, the nation or individuals, being able to bask in the warmth of this Spring day with family friends was like being bathed in the glow of peace and serenity.
sprinkled with share the first we made
